The weather feed is provided by Sandysoft Cumulus software and updates every five seconds to provide as near as possible live web feed. This is replacing Weather displays live feed as flash is unreliable and is gradually being phased out.  You will find links to web cams in the middle of the page and links to lightning detection at the bottom of the the page.
To view the new web cams live click click here for Web Cam North West here for Web Cam North and here Web Cam East. You’ll need to download QuickTime player from here  The Live motion doesn’t work on Windows 7 but does on OSX, Ipad and Linux.  To use the live motion on a Ipad or Iphone click here for  camera North West and here for camera North and here for camera East. To watch the cams on a Ipad you will need to install Y-Cam viewer package from the Market place. Add the camera’s using the following ip address’s http://www.sheffieldweather.net:82 and http://www.sheffieldweather.net:83 and http://www.sheffieldweather.net:84. No username or password needed. This should work for the Iphone as well. Sadly the Andriod version of the software doesn’t work. However I’ve found another application called TinyCam Monitor which is free on the Market and does work and it’s very easy to set up.
Below is the feed from the Boltek lightning detector the image doesn’t automatically refresh so you will need to manually refresh. Another  live feed which doesn’t refreshing can be found here http://www.sheffieldweather.net/StormStation5NGX/stormstation.htm
